For Indian students
MBBS in Nepal, with someone who is actually there
NMC-recognised colleges, English-medium teaching, no visa, and a founder whose own brother studies medicine in Nepal. We walk the route we recommend.
Why families choose Nepal for MBBS
For many Indian families, Nepal sits in a rare sweet spot: a shared border, familiar culture and food, English-medium medical education, and colleges recognised by India’s National Medical Commission (NMC). No visa, no language exam, and a short trip home — while keeping a clear path back to practise in India.
Closest to home
Open border, no visa for Indian students, short travel, and families who can visit through the course.
English-medium
Teaching and clinical training are in English — no IELTS or TOEFL to clear first. Locals understand Hindi too.
A clear route back
Graduates of NMC-recognised colleges follow a defined pathway to sit the FMGE and register to practise in India (conditions apply — see the FAQ).
We are on the ground
Our founder’s brother and sister both study at KUSMS in Nepal — real, current eyes on campuses, hostels and daily life, not recycled brochures.
Same curriculum as Indian medical colleges
Nepal’s MBBS closely mirrors the Indian MBBS in curriculum, structure and exam pattern. The subjects, year-wise progression and clinical training feel familiar to Indian students — which many families find eases both the transition and later FMGE preparation. (We share the specific syllabus for each shortlisted college.)
Indicative fees
Indicative ranges only, last reviewed [EDIT: month/year]. Actual fees vary by college and intake. We share the exact, current figure for your shortlist before you commit anything.

Funding
Scholarships & fee guidance
Some colleges offer merit concessions or installment plans that ease the burden on families. We help you find and apply for what you genuinely qualify for — and never charge a markup on fees.
Merit-based concessions
A few colleges reduce tuition for strong NEET scores. We flag which ones, and the cutoffs, for your profile.
Installment plans
Several colleges allow fees in installments rather than one lump sum — we help you understand the schedule.
No hidden markups
We do not inflate fees or take a cut on your tuition. You pay the college’s real figure.

FMGE / NExT & recognition — the honest version
To practise in India, graduates of foreign medical colleges must clear the licensing exam — currently the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination), conducted twice a year by NBEMS under the NMC. Studying at an NMC-recognised college and clearing the FMGE is the established route. We cannot guarantee that you will pass — that depends on you — but we make sure your college is on the recognised path.
This information is general and may change. It is not legal or admissions advice. Always verify current rules on the official NMC (nmc.org.in) and NBEMS websites before making decisions.
